Yesterday

pet peeve i was gonna say mannheim steamroller, cuz i'm hearing them way too much STILL but then I had to speak out on the Rudy Man of the Year thing--my ass! talk about exploiting a tragedy for one's own gain, he was a racist bully who went after "squeegy operators" to get tourists back and then hijacked dinkins community policing program to take credit for the decline in crime and now he's knighted, sainted and absolved of all his crap. but really all he did was get rid of "agressive panhandlers" and "squeegy operators" that is his legacy (but he's remembered now for one really fortunate piece of videotape where he was shown making an executive decision to "go north" over and over on cnn) and the people of ny will end up paying for not just one but TWO new baseball stadiums cuz of saint rudy.
obsession du jour clear my cookies from my internet browser so i can fill out my nba all-star ballot on the same day someone else in this household already did--they let you vote often, but only once daily...at least they are honest that the election is rigged
to do find an english language bio of lautreamont and find out more about leon pierre-quint after i came across a great quote from le comte de lautreamont et dieux mentioned in passing in something i was reading
ponder is sentimentality really in opposition to "black humor" or aren't certain forms of sentimentality versions of black humor?
sports team du jour the kings
sounds friday night express radio show on wnyu 89.1 fm
film find out if driller killer is available for rental on dvd
tv still hooked on reruns of 7th heaven cuz that family seems to show what it would be like to have grown up with the presbyterians in my family tree (btw, i found that almost all of my mother's relatives are either elders or deacons in churches and even an entire presbytery which i think is a region and that there are two ministers, one male, one female--and i wonder...)
book anthology of black humor edited by breton (just barely started but i've already got a dissertation ready about why i disagree with bretons "lightning rod" intro but i know no one wants to hear it)
objet d'art on display somewhere i dunno i hear the hermitage has a nice collection...all galleries are closed between xmas and new years
food more power bars
beverage stockpiled diet coke
people besides the people who died such hideous deaths, i feel really deeply awful for the 76 year old guy who killed those pedestrians cuz the cops scared him into moving his double-parked vehicle
random additions or subtractions from any or all of the above read remembrance of things past (now known as in search of lost time) and sentimental education
