anyone care what the starmistress is thinking?

Yesterday

pet peeve 3-way tie between: the red and tan bus line which came over 30 minutes late today (and have been taken over by the huge conglomerate CoachUSA but yet still receive tax payer money to operate in rockland and bergen counties, yet do not feel compelled to efficiently serve the people they bleed for funds,) nj transit train delays at the hoboken terminal where i was forced to wait in the cold because they could only get one track to work and i watched a good number of people get on a train they thought was going to spring valley ny but was really a thru train to port jervis ny because they felt no compulsion to change the computer signs or make announcements about the delays, and the port authority bus terminal in general during the holiday season--too many people, too much luggage, and extra long lotto lines make for one surly starmistress.
obsession du jour precor efx556 and precor efx546
to do make new tape for use with precor elliptical training machines
ponder can one be addicted to precor elliptical training machines?
sports team du jour the memphis grizzlies (beat the un-woeful lakers)
sounds dominick the italian christmas donkey and all i want for christmas are my two front teeth--like fingernails on a chalkboard
film was really excited to see that facets is selling zu neuen ufern, the first film that douglas sirk made in the us, until i realized that the vhs copy was in german w/o english subtitles
tv too busy waiting for mass transit to arrive to watch it
book purple magazine's new jersey issue and robert smithson
objet d'art on display somewhere robert smithson, Non-site (Palisades–Edgewater, N.J.), 1968 in the permanent collection of the whitney (dumb explanation of the work, but i didn't know smithson was from jersey)
food gray's papaya
beverage diet coke
people are too plentiful
random additions or subtractions from any or all of the above contemplating the smithson ruins of passaic photo series and an idea of the non-site as it connects smithson and rick moody in his book garden state and how they both capture the uniquely quiet entropy and slow-motion decay that characterizes nj as a place of simultaneity and contradiction

many thanks to my friend at Nerdslut for allowing me to rip her off
and to the starmeister for telling frontpage is not scary
